The AR8600 communications receiver can be controlled via a serial port of your computer, using a standard RS-232 cable. It offers some nice things like memory display in a table, squelch controlled logfile generation and audio recording, tuning from Excel and dBASE files and a bandsope. From the bandscope you can tune your scanner to a found frequency by simply clicking on it. The software can also be used for the AR8200 radio scanners.
